Synopsis

Parti pour une randonnée en solitaire dans les gorges de l’Utah, Aron Ralston, jeune alpiniste expérimenté, se retrouve bloqué au fond d’un canyon isolé lorsqu’un rocher s’éboule, lui emprisonnant le bras.
Pris au piège, menacé de déshydratation et d’hypothermie, il est en proie à des hallucinations avec pour seule compagnie le souvenir des siens.
Cinq jours plus tard, comprenant que les secours n’arriveront pas, il va devoir prendre la plus grave décision de son existence…
